Der Biohof Dauner, Vertrauen seit Generationen…

Unser Hof wird inzwischen in der 8. und 9. Generation von uns, der Familie Dauner, bewirtschaftet. Schon immer war unser Betrieb ein Gemischt-Betrieb mit Ackerbau, Grünland und dazu gehöriger Tierhaltung.
Auf unserem Hof werden Milchkühe mit der eigenen Nachzucht und Hühner gehalten. Bereits seit dem Jahr 1980 werden unsere Kühe im Boxenlaufstall und nicht mehr in Anbinde-Haltung gehalten. Schon seit Jahrzehnten war uns ein möglichst enger Betriebskreislauf wichtig, was das Futter für unsere Kühe, Hühner und die Vermarktung unserer Produkte angeht.

Nachdem die Hofnachfolge gesichert war, wurden die schon seit längerer Zeit bestehenden Überlegungen, den Betrieb auf ökologischen Landbau umzustellen, im Jahr 2014 umgesetzt. Seit dem gehören wir dem Bioland-Verband an. Womit klar war, dass die Kühe von nun an wieder auf die Weide dürfen, diese Möglichkeit nutzen unsere Kühe gerne. Gleiches gilt bei unseren Hühnern, welche von Bodenhaltung auf Freilandhaltung umgestellt wurden.

Was uns Wichtig ist.

Unsere Tiere

Unsere Kühe

Unsere Kühe sind Fleckviehkühe, welche als Zweinutzungsrasse gehalten werden. Zweinutzung, weil Milch und Fleisch der Kühe beim Kunden ankommen. Dazu kommt, dass die Rasse Fleckvieh bei uns auf der schwäbischen Alb beheimatet ist. Bei uns dürfen alle Rinder ihre Hörner behalten, weil wir auch bei der Zucht weiterhin auf Kühe mit Hörnern setzen und auf den Einsatz von hornlosen Bullen komplett verzichten. Wir sind der Meinung, zur Kuh gehören Hörner! Natürlich werden unsere Kühe komplett GENTECHNIKFREI gefüttert! Die Kühe werden mit, von uns eigens produziertem Futter, Silage, Heu und überwiegend Grünfutter gefüttert. Den Sommer über, dürfen unsere Kühe auf unsere großflächige Kurzrasenweide, wo sie täglich nur das Beste zu sich nehmen. Nur geringe Mengen an Getreide werden von uns an die Kühe gefüttert, wir versuchen darüber hinaus unsere Kühe so wiederkäuer- und artgerecht wie möglich zu füttern. Unsere Kühe geben im Jahr etwas mehr als 5.000 l Milch und haben jedes Jahr ein Kalb, wobei es auch mal 2 werden können, oder ein Jahr ohne Nachwuchs ins Land geht. Nach der Geburt lassen wir Kalb und Mutter die ersten Tage zusammen, anschließend bekommt das Kalb weiterhin die Vollmilch von unseren Kühen gefüttert, kein Milchersatz oder ähnliches, bis es alt genug ist. Unsere Nachzucht ziehen wir komplett selbst auf.

Unsere Hühner

Unsere Hühner werden wie auch unsere Kühe selbstredend gentechnikfrei gefüttert. Sie haben täglich die Möglichkeit ihren großflächigen Auslauf zum scharren, picken und Würmer suchen zu nutzen, oder sich in Sträucher zu setzen. Das gibt dem Begriff vogelfrei eine ganz neue Bedeutung.

Energie und Umwelt

Energiewende?

Ja! Auch wir versuchen unseren Teil zur Energiewende beizutragen, auf unseren Dächern haben wir seit 2008 Photovoltaikanlagen installiert, wodurch wir aus Sonnenenergie Strom gewinnen. Außerdem haben wir auf unserem Wohnhaus Solarpanelle, zur Gewinnung von Warmwasser im Sommer. Im Stall nutzen wir eine Wärmerückgewinnung beim Kühlen unserer Bioweidemilch für den dortigen Warmwasserbedarf.

Momentan bauen wir eine 75kw Hofbiogasanlage, welche wir zum größten Teil mit dem anfallenden Mist und der Gülle unserer Tiere betreiben werden. Die anfallende Wärme werden wir im Winter zum Heizen des Wohnhauses nutzen. Im Sommer ist es angedacht Getreide zu trocknen.

Holz anstelle von Öl. Neben unseren Tätigkeiten im Stall und auf dem Feld bewirtschaften wir noch unseren Wald. Bis zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt machen wir dort unser Brennholz zum Heizen des Wohnhauses. Außerdem verkaufen wir dieses Brennholz gerne an Sie.

Milchautomat & Regiomat

Milchautomat

In unserem Milchautomat bieten wir ihnen 24 Stunden, 7 Tage die Woche, frische Bioweidemilch für 1,20€ /l an. Unsere Milch ist frische, naturbelassene, unverarbeitete Rohmilch. Das heißt, sie schmeckt anders als die Milch aus dem Supermarkt und auch das ist gut so! Unsere Milch hat dadurch mindestens einen Fettgehalt von 3,8% und einen Eiweißgehalt von mindestens 3,2%. Die Milch sollte möglichst kühl, am besten im Kühlschrank, gelagert werden. Dadurch ist sie mindesten 3 Tage haltbar, oft auch länger. Vertrauen sie einfach Ihrer Nase, sie wird Ihnen sagen wann sie nicht mehr haltbar ist ;). Ist der Fall eingetreten das Sie saure Milch im Kühlschrank stehen haben? Erste Kunden, mit Laktoseintoleranz, sagten uns sogar sie würden unsere Milch vertragen. Dafür garantieren wir nicht! Ob es an der Fütterung? An den Hörnern? Oder anderen Dingen liegt, das sie für sie besser verträglich ist wissen wir nicht. Vielleicht ist es auch nur Kopfsache?? Wir geben KEINE Garantie darauf.

Zum Abzapfen der Milch können Sie gerne ihr eigenes Gefäß mitbringen! Oder einfach im Regiomat für 1,-€ eine Flasche kaufen.

Regiomat

Im Regiomat wollen wir ihnen das Beste aus der Region in Bio-Qualität anbieten. Im Regiomat haben Sie die Möglichkeit, ebenfalls 24 Stunden, 7 Tage die Woche, Bioland-Eier von unseren eigenen Hühnern zu kaufen. Außerdem bieten wir Ihnen leere Milchflaschen zum Zapfen unserer Bioweidemilch an. Im Sortiment haben wir auch Honig, geimkert von Familie Hahn aus Sontbergen. Zusätzlich haben wir noch eine breite Auswahl an verschieden Joghurts und Käse des Biotal Eselsburg für sie in unserem Automat.
